This year’s conference at the All Nations Centre, Cardiff, on May 20th adopted the theme of ‘Together for Health: Pushing the Boundaries’ with the purpose of the conference being to share best practice, learning and innovation.
At the conference, the CNO announced the Betsi Cadwaladr Scholarship Foundation Award winners. The award is presented to a Registered Nurse, Midwife or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse working in practice, education or health care management in Wales who has achieved excellence in their field of nursing. This year, two people were awarded 1st prize and Professor Maggie Kirk was joint award winner on behalf of the Telling Stories team, for her work in nurse education. The prize money awarded will be used to collect three stories about tumour profiling for cancer treatment from the patient, nurse and laboratory scientist perspectives Prof Kirk said.
