Members of the Genomics Policy Unit and other university staff attended a memorial service last week for their former colleague, Visiting Fellow and friend Ann Yeomans, who died last month after a short illness.
Ann served as the Faculty Research Coordinator from 2003 until her retirement in 2013. With a long track record in research management and finance, many colleagues benefited from her wisdom and experience. She was also a keen genealogist and her expertise in this underpinned her interest in the work of the Genomics Policy Unit. Most of all, Ann was a passionate advocate for public and patient engagement with research and in her all too short retirement, she continued to promote this through her work with the Involving People network. She will be sadly missed.
